Lots of conferences:
- 27 - 28 April / Düsseldorf: beyond tellerrand: A single-track conference about design, typography, web, and everything in between.
- 07 - 09 May / Berlin: Superbooth: The international trade fair and festival for electronic musical instruments.
- 27 - 28 May / Prague: WebExpo: A European tech conference for frontend and backend developers, designers, UX folks, and digital marketers.
What I’m generally up to these days:
- Started to learn the FAUST (Functional Audio Stream) programming language. Everything for the target of building my first electro acoustic sculpture. Check out Eirik Brandal if you want to know what that is.
- I’m making sounds with my modular synth and recently started building my own modules. I just finished a digital replica of Fancy Synthesis’s Rung Divisions.
- Designing my own tools and improving objects with 3D printing.
- Developing a framework for PaperJS that allows me to quickly and easily design and plot vector sketches. Also, over the last few weeks, I have designed a custom circuit board to run my pen plotter with FluidNC. That’s a good thing, trust me!
- Building my own website and tools, and attending monthly meetings of the Homebrew Website Club in Nuremberg.
- I’m currently enjoying good coffee again; my favourite currently is El Puente Project from Rösttrommel Nuremberg.
- I’m considering whether to return to a regular job, become self-employed, or try to take the academic route.
